Position Summary:
The Principal of Fairgrieve Elementary School will be a highly motivated, visionary, and compassionate educational leader responsible for the overall administration, supervision, and instructional leadership of the school. The Principal will foster a positive and productive learning environment, champion academic achievement, and ensure the well-being and success of all students and staff. This role requires a strong commitment to collaboration, effective communication, and a deep understanding of elementary education best practices.
Salary:
The starting salary for this position is $109,690, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a rigorous and engaging curriculum aligned with state standards.

Supervise, observe, and evaluate instructional staff, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.

Utilize data to inform instructional decisions and monitor student progress, implementing interventions as needed.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Manage the school's budget, resources, and facilities effectively and efficiently.

Ensure a safe, orderly, and nurturing learning environment for all students and staff.

Oversee student attendance, discipline, and support services.

Develop and implement school-wide policies and procedures in accordance with district guidelines.

Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality instructional and support staff.

Foster a collaborative and professional working environment.

Provide opportunities for professional growth and development for all staff members.

Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, guardians, and the wider community.

Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding school programs, policies, and student progress.

Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.

Actively participate in district-level leadership meetings and initiatives.
Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.

New York State School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL) certification required.

Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level.

Minimum of three (3) years of successful administrative/supervisory experience in an educational setting preferred.
