The Fulton City School District is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our facilities team. Hourly Wage: $24.27 per hour.
Certification Stipend: An additional $1.00 per hour stipend is available for candidates who hold and maintain qualifying trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, Journeyman Electrician, Master Plumber).

Key Responsibilities
Preventative & Routine Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections and perform scheduled maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to ensure peak performance and longevity.
Rapid Response Repairs: Efficiently diagnose and resolve structural, mechanical, and electrical issues. Address maintenance tickets promptly to minimize classroom disruptions.
Project Support: Assist in the planning and execution of facility upgrades. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and NYS safety regulations. Identify and mitigate potential hazards to ensure a secure campus environment.
Facility Stewardship: Maintain accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and project milestones using district systems.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in commercial building maintenance; experience within a school or municipal setting is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and general carpentry/construction.
Equipment: Skilled in the safe operation of power tools, diagnostic equipment, and facility machinery.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions for extended periods.
Education & Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license.
Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting.
