The Fulton City School District has an opening for the Director of Special Education.
This is a probationary position.
Starting salary is $112,160, commensurate with experience.
Applicants must have or be eligible for New York administrative certification (SBL, SDL).
The Director of Special Education will provide leadership, long-range planning, management, and support for a continuum of services that meets the needs of all students within the Fulton City School District who receive the special education and/or related services.
Primary Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the instructional leaders of the district and schools, leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive multi-tiered system of support designed to meet the needs of all students. Utilizes data to make decisions and builds staff capacity to use data for effective instruction and intervention

Communicates with local, state, and national organizations, institutions and agencies regarding instructional practices and curriculum in schools

Plan for and deliver quarterly K-6, 7-8, and 9-12 Special Education Department Meetings

Facilitate Disproportionality Analysis and Planning
